Shelly Renaud has been part of our James Wood Hyundai team for 6 months but her family has been part of the Decatur community since the 80’s. We are happy to feature her today.

Q: What 3 things cant you live without?
A: My father in Heaven, my faith, my family .

Q: Tell us about your family.
A:My family has been here since 1984, we had a dairy farm off of 730 S. My brothers and sister grew up and graduated from Decatur. My oldest 2 children (son: Aaron Renaud, daughter: Ariel Renaud) have graduated from Decatur. Aaron taught Spanish at Decatur High School. My youngest daughter; Anna Renaud will be finishing 8th grade, going into 9th grade in the fall. We are very involved in Decatur Volleyball and also Select Volleyball in the metroplex. I’ve been married for 31 years.

Q: What quote inspires you most?
A:Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.- John 15:13

Q: Best unexpected selling experience? Or most unique?
A: A couple came in with a 2006 Hyundai Tucson, they test drove a Hyundai Santa Fe Sport. Not being from Texas, they were unfamiliar with the excellent James Wood reputation. They decided to shop a competitor, while sitting with the salesperson, they couldn’t get out of their mind that they really needed to stop and go back to James Wood. They came back because of the better price and the better customer service.

Q: You’ve only been with James Wood Motors a short period, what your favorite thing so far?
A: The family atmosphere; all the employees are truly a part of one big family.
