Our feature this week is Dean Newberry. Dean has been part of our James Wood Motors team since December 2017.

Q: Tell us a little about yourself and/or family.
A: I moved to Decatur a little over a year ago. At the moment, it’s just my wife and I, but we are expecting our first child sometime in January. Needless to say, we are both very excited.

Q: What did you want to be when you grew up?
A: A used car salesman. Things didn’t work out, so now I’m a NEW cars salesman.

Q: What advice do you have to prospective James Wood Motors candidates?
A: Be friendly, smile, and make sure your shoes are shined.

Q: What do you do for fun?
A: I like everything and anything, but mostly Netflix. I do enjoy trying new things with my wife in tow. I get a ton of enjoyment out of watching her try new foods I know she won’t like.

Q: What drew you to James Wood Motors?
A: Definitely the reputation James Wood Motors has. Not only do our customers get treated with respect, but so do the sales people. I sincerely believe the sales team, at any dealership, is a direct reflection of the company’s management and the way they’re treated. A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.

Q: Tell us 3 things most people don’t know about you.
A: 1. I have a sweet air guitar collection.
2. I have a freckle in the sclera of my left eye.
3. I’m slightly allergic to bananas.

Q: What has been your proudest moment at James Wood Motors?
A: My proudest moments are always when customers leave extremely happy because we were able to make what they wanted happen.
